Some rumblings from the MTGSalvation Forum have indicated that Planechase will be back next year:
"WOTC made its sound like that they were going to alternate between Archenemy, Planechase, and Commander each summer. Though it wouldn't shock me if Commander got an "every other year" treatment after the success it had this year."
As a fan of Magic variations, I for one welcome Wizards taking another crack at Planechase. From the thread we can also gather:
"A possible release date of March 9th, new decks, new planes, and something called "phenomenons."
Sounds fantastic. Planechase was met with little enthusiam, and many people I discussed it with said they felt Wizards didn't push the game as heavily as they did with Commander (the same has been said of Archenemy, which signs point to a return for as well).
